Steve Edwards Biography

The son of a preacher man, Steve first came to prominence in the steel city of Sheffield, UK where he immersed himself in the thriving music scene working with the likes of Cloud 9 & Moloko.

Since that time, Steve’s reputation has grown within the music industry and has now become one the true, global voices of house music. His cv of collaborations reads like a who’s who of the very best within dance music including Cassius, Xpress 2, Michael Gray, Kings of Tomorrow, Basement Jaxx, Dab Hands, Charles Webster, Yves LaRock, Axwell & of course, singer of choice for Bob Sinclar.

Steve is one of the few artists in house music to have enjoyed truly massive & sustained crossover success on a global scale and because of this his live performances are more like ‘concerts’ where just about every song is a recognized hit.

These hits include Watch the Sunrise, Sound Of Violence, Somewhere Beyond, Together & of course World Hold On which received a Grammy nomination in 2007 culminating in the winning of the biggest selling dance record at the World Music Awards in London 2007.

In 2008 his single ‘Together’ with Bob Sinclar was a number 1 in the pop charts in 3 countries & the overall number 1 in the US Billboard Dance Club Chart & has now become another classic.

He has a new single ‘Listen to the Voice Inside’ with Yves LaRock which looks set to be another anthem in 2009.

A constant theme in most of Steve’s songs is the message of truth, hope, peace, love & understanding which he tries to display in his live performances worldwide because there are simply few others who can match Steve Neil Edwards for performance, quality & depth of material which are about the people & for the people.
